Description

Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a character look even remotely attractive when he has huge rabbit ears sticking out of his head? No? Well, I do. Let's just hope I moderately achieved.

Anyway, I think it was pretty obvious what Aster's mutation was going to be. I mean, he is a giant rabbit in canon, after all. The only difference is that, well, he was originally just the average dude in this, then BAM! He's got rabbit ears and a tail (a very fluffy tail, I might add. He tries to hide it because he finds it "emasculating"). He also has a rather prominent birthmark on his forehead that he constantly tries hide to, though it doesn't always work.

Aster's main struggle is that he's a big, tall guy stuck with the characteristics of a fluffy little animal. That's not buff. That's not intimidating. What that is is embarrassing. So, he does his best to prove to the world (and to himself) that he's the strongest, toughest guy out there, rabbit ears or not. It's a struggle to gain respect, that's for sure. He's vegetarian, fuzzy, and has a nose that twitches whenever he gets seriously irked, but somehow he managed to survive this long, and the other mutants respect him for that. Eventually, he became the sort of leader of the gang, even though he's not the oldest or the strongest, but the others trust his judgment and know that he can seriously whoop someone if he needs/wants to (ever get kicked by a kangaroo? It's similar to that). Because of how hard he's worked to get this position, Aster hates it whenever someone brings up his softer side or does anything that makes him seem less tough, like Jack and his tendency to call him "Bunny". And just for the record, carrots are not his favorite. Throw a little lettuce or a red pepper his way and you've got a friend for life. His life before the lab is a little detail you'll just have to learn later. Also, he goes by his middle name because to him, his dad will always be Edgar. It's been like that since he was born. Minimized confusion.

Experiment #57: Edgar Aster Bunnymund, Jr.
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 185 lbs.
Family: Edgar Bunnymund, Sr., father, deceased
Abigail Bunnymund, mother, currently residing in St. Hildegard's Hospital for the Mentally Ill
Mutation: Lagomorphic attributes
Memory Status: aware
Personality: Aster has struggled his whole life to gain respect and he sure as heck won't let anyone take it away. Despite being half-rabbit, he's definitely not pushover and can hold himself against any of the mutants or scientists in the lab. Considering some of them are literally superhuman, that's quite a feat. Though he generally spends his free time keeping an eye on the goings-on of the warehouse, Aster also has a talent for painting, as many can see by the evidence all over his shirt. Though usually a pretty level-headed leader, his bad side is pretty big and easy to slip into, but it's just as easy to get right back into that little soft spot of his with a sincere apology and a few favored vegetables. It also helps if you're a small child or a certain female that he may or may not have a crush on. Though at first very defensive about his softer side, he does grow to appreciate and accept it eventually, meeting questions about it with a blank stare and a "What of it?"
Relationships:
Jack: Aster's relationship with Jack started out on a sour note for him and an innocent exclamation for Jack. Upon seeing Aster's large, furry ears peeking out of his hair, Jack remembered the word that linked said ears to something and said it out loud so he wouldn't forget it. He's been calling Aster "Bunny" ever since, which annoys Aster to absolutely no end. However, the two developed a pretty strong brotherly relationship after a while, with Aster quickly becoming very overprotective of Jack. He's also one of the trusted people Jack goes to whenever he's confused about something. Even if the freezing cold attack hugs and the constant ice in his juice irks him and makes his temper flare more than he'd like, Aster generally manages to keep it under control around Jack. There's just something about little brothers that makes it hard to stay mad at them for long.
Hiccup: The word for these two is "awkward". Since Aster only recently started paying attention to Hiccup and said attention had to be born from the discovery of some very, very bad experiences, you can't really blame the dragonboy for not trusting Aster right off the bat. Aster tries to make up for all the years that he ignored Hiccup's injuries and abuse by trying to help with the escape plan and enlisting the help of all the other mutants, but let's just say that a dragon's memory is very, very long.
Violet: He won't admit it, but Aster has a very, very large soft spot for Violet, something that she often takes advantage of (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not). He'd never dare to tell her (or anyone) why. Weakness is a bad thing, after all, and nothing says weakness quite like a crush.
Other relationships will be branched out as other profiles are scanned

Afternote: AHAHAHAHAHA, YES I SHIP HIM WITH VIOLET! Why? BECAUSE I CAN :D

Aww! I like the idea of Aster and Violet being a couple. I would love to see a fan fiction of this AU. :)
